KAJA Studio is a collaboration between Interior Designer Kait Zegers and Interior Architect Jessica Williams. With over 18 years collective experience, two worlds collided when Kait & Jess started working together in 2010; beginning the odyssey that is now KAJA Studio.
Based in Sydney, project engagement ranges from boutique commercial workplace to high end innovative residential design, hospitality and shop design.
'Our individual evolution as designers is manifested in an exclusive approach to each project, working seamlessly together to suit expectations of our clients. With sustainability at the forefront of our designs, we bring a holistic approach from mind to paper and have a team of consultants ready to engage.
An impassioned design philosophy coupled with our collective seasoning brings a sophistication and intimacy to your design journey as we manage not only your project, but your entire design experience.'

The design philosophy Kait holds is to create beautifully tailored built spaces for people to live, play, work and interact with each other and the greater environment. Spaces to foster creativity and spirit. Spaces to enable specific tasks. Spaces that are a pleasure to engage with. Spaces that compliment, not compromise the environment in which it is nurtured.
Kait specialises in creative design, and has a wealth of experience in residential, hospitality, healthcare and defense sectors across a range of budgets. Her approach with a client is to listen, learn, advise and collaborate to create a mutually agreeable partnership and deliver a fantastic project.
In 2014 Kait established The Kaito Files where she dealt with distinctly local projects and focused on fostering relationships within the design community in Sydney. She built a business where these relationships became the key to successful design collaborations.
Completing a Bachelor of Built Environment majoring in Interior Design at Queensland University of Technology in 2002, Kait's Queensland upbringing bestowed a unique interest in local Architecture.
After a culturally rich & experimental design sojourn in Tokyo from 2003-07, her career flourished back in Brisbane with Mirvac Design, then GHD where she first developed an appetite for large scale projects requiring intimate coordination between the client, architects, designers, engineers and the construction team.
Relocating to Sydney in 2010 Kait spent 5 years working for design great BVN Architecture on a huge variety of award winning projects, ASB North Wharf, SEW & MUR to name a few. Kait expanded her portfolio of works collaborating with Practice Director James Grose and Principal Abbie Galvin. It was here in Sydney that she met Jessica Williams, and their design journey took a new direction.
